It’s not the end of the world if I cant get it to work, I would just have to be careful not to lose any of my saves. And all my progress can be easily overwritten by a quick press of the F5 key. Well, Sonic 3’s save feature lets you revisit any stage at any time. The only thing you can do is to update your graphics card drivers and hope for the best, I wouldn’t be holding my breath if I were you, though. The GeForce4 MX 4000 is basically a GeForce2 with a slightly enhanced feature set, and a GeForce2 is definitely below any perceived minimum requirements for Dreamcast emulation. The basic controls for player 1 are, arrow keys to move, and Z or C to jump.
The controls are customizable, either for player 1 and 2. In fullscreen mode, make sure a 60 Hz option is checked, or in windowed mode, set your desktop refresh rate to 60 Hz before booting the game. Find “Power Management Mode” and set it to “Prefer Maximum Performance.” This can be done on a global level or for SA2 specifically (sonic2app.exe). Try the first one first, and if it doesn’t work use the second one.
